I'm back
I saw The Life Aquatic for the second time this weekend. While this is not Wes Anderson's best work, he does have the best use of Bowie in a soundtrack ever. Who knew that Bowie's lyrics would sound just as fantastic in Portuguese. I would like to make sure nobody thinks that I think less of Wes Anderson. Even though I believe that this movie is not his best effort, it is still pretty darn fantastic and brought me out of a bad mood. It also reminded me of how much I love Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
I have decided to make my schoolage class, at KinderCare, one giant Hilary Duff fan club. Most of my girls love her and some of the boys think she is cute. However soon all of them will love her. I played my Come Clean and Fly phone rings for them today and now they think I am super cool (or slightly weird. I would play them the Hilary Duff song but I don't want them to go home and ask their parents why Miranda is a whore. We do listen to her CDs pretty regularly and we have discussions about Lizzie Maguire and her movies. I would love to hear any suggestions on how to increase their fondness for Hilary. I love having the power to brain wash children.
