Sunday Evening makeup at work

Jan 23, 2006 07:49

All the products and tools that i get to work with....shown below: 2 trunk size train cases filled with foundations, powders, eyeshadow pallates, blush palettes, cream color bases, moisturizers, lip balms, lipsticks, lipglosses, lip jellies, makeup brushes, tons of brush cleaner, napkins, lipliners, eyeliners, fluidliners, pigments, glitters, mineralized fininshing powders, bag of false lashes, tweezers, scissors, sharpeners and a whole bunch of other stuff that im sure im forgetting :P. Alot of these things are limited edition items that arent around anymore(which sucks -- cause they are some awesome colors!). Everything here is what i keep at my station locked up at work. I bought all of these things over the span of 2-3 years and constantly have to replenish my stock on a month to month basis. This also allows me to keep up with the current trends and styles.

Most of these things are MAC, although I have certain products from Kryolan, Chanel, Lancome, Morbid, Rebel, Urban Decay, and NARS.

NOW ON TO THE PHOTOS

I do alot of cat eyes. And they always seem to ask for this. Every once in a while I get to do something different, out of the ordinary. I guess thats cool because its a break from the norm. I get to use false eyelashes, and sometimes crystal rhinestones. In most cases i'll get to use glitter if neccessary. Im careful with this because I don't just throw any color glitter to shadow. All of the glitter that I use is fine grain, not chunky. Some of them are irredecent and translucent. I match my glitter to the color group of shadow thats being used...ONLY. I figure if you spend a certain amount of time with shadow... you don't want to lose the effect of all the colors. The glitter should only enhance it... otherwise you've wasted your time.

Today was not to crazy so I was able to spend some time with each of my clients. I didn't take pictures of all of them. Just the ones that I thought were dazzling. I realize that the quality of these pictures DO SUCK as they are from my sprint cameraphone. None the less at least I have a way of showing them... that is at least until i get a better digital camera. Hope you like these! Enjoy.

Bobby - Rainbow glittery cat eyes
(this is the same girl with the neon pink shadow later in my journal)

Elyse - Mermaid blue/green cat eyes
My camera really sucks, because the color in the picture below turned out sort of light blueish grey whereas in person her eyeshadow was blueish-green. Very mermaid like. It had a glowing royal blue effect.

Nadia - Dark smokey, glittery cat eyes
(eyes only shown because eyes were only done on this client...no foundation, powder, ect.)
