{ CHARACTER INFO }
Name: Axel
Canon/Series: Kingdom Hearts II
Age: 19
Occupation: Field Agent/Desk Monkey Jockey (punishment)

Personality: It seems Axel's has a veritable plethora of emotions to choose from. Most of the time, he's pretty laid back considering the fact he's working with one of the big, important secret government bureaus in the world.

The general disposition of the young man can be summed up as a joker of sorts. He is sociable, relaxed, and even cocky. His willingness to run with whatever is going on at the time can be due to boredom, but he does his job wreaking havoc and destruction well. Of course, the excess amounts of confidence and defiance can make him come off as a jerk during first meetings. And every other meeting in person thereafter, but it depends. Being up front with his peers and those higher up in the ranks, Axel is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with anyone. This usually leads to long discussions, arguments, and/or trips to the medical center.

Having all that street cred and whatnot may make him tough, awesome, and a dork, but he does have some amount of concern for his fellow agents. He can even be a little sentimental or nostalgic over 'trivial' matters. This doesn't make him a wuss; it actually makes the guy a bit more well-rounded. And although he does have a good sense of humor, it's best not to anger him to any extent.

The redhead does what is necessary to keep things running smoothly, but that is whenever he feels like going along with the orders given. If he questions authoritative ruling, then he will rebel and do his own thing. This may happen every other mission, unfortunately. Trust is just one of the harder codes to keep.

Skills/Special Abilities/Powers: In several words, Axel is an fire elemental specialist. In one word: Pyromaniac. Amazingly, the man hasn't suffered from any burn wounds. Execution of element can range from a simple snap of his fingers to an over-dramatic summoning for show. Fireballs and a combination of fire and his weapons of choice are the mild selections in offensive combat. For long-range attacks, a few columns can ignite from the ground in a half-circle formation. He can manage these flames most of the time, but depending on how reckless he's feeling the situation may go awry. Think Backdraft and Hollywood explosions. Overexertion will lead to a burnout, which renders the redhead useless for almost two days.

Well, he's not completely useless. Axel still has his chakrams. These are probably bureau-issued, but it just emphasizes how skilled he is with throwing projectiles at targets. He can use all combat ranges with them depending on if he's chucking them at people or whacking them up close. He does use hand-to-hand combat, but it usually compliments his street-fighting style and comes up as a last resort.

There are many times when Axel crosses a line and is forced to work at a desk job. From here, he's been good at working on computers, filing reports, answering phonecalls, and other minor technical problems. However, he also got better at hacking into systems and networks he shouldn't be on. Downloading random things also falls under his list of technical deviations, but it's not that harmful. Is it?

History: His past is something he rid himself of a long time ago. Numerous theories were created to fill in the beginnings of this man's history. Growing up, he could have lived in a huge mansion with rich parents, leading a pleasant and secure life. His experiences could have been worse if the situation was the exact opposite. Something normal, mundane. A happy facade. Food on the table every other day. Arguments and growing pains. Grief for the guardians. Serious moments. Warmth. It could have been anything between the scenarios given.

And yet, they all led to the same conclusion.

Axel, as he now called himself, was always one to run with different crowds. During the last two years of his high school career, he decided to join a gang. It wasn't really peer pressure or anything; it was something else to do besides being a good student and taking the college route. Along with average grades, he had enough credits to pass with a diploma. The teen just didn't see himself being fully educated and having a successful life. All of it was overrated and overplayed in his opinion.

So he was a teenage hoodlum. Axel wasn't new to causing trouble, nor was he against the petty crimes and activities his peers were usually engaging in. He knew what was right and what was wrong; he just never stopped others from doing wrong. The clashing of personalities also made the air tense whenever he was with them. A wave of boredom soon washed over the redhead, and it pushed the decision to go and hang out with other people. Another gang, unfortunately. All was fine until one of his previous 'friends' found out and ratted him out. It was a betrayal of their connections, their closeness. And they weren't going to let it go quietly.

One night was all it took for things to explode. Literally. The Betrayed jumped the Betrayer and his gang members during a convenience store run, all of it becoming one giant mess because of Axel and his choices. Of course, he wasn't going to get beaten up so easily. In a fit of rage, the flames caused property damage and injuries upon almost everyone involved. Seeing how the teen was the only one not hurt, the police took him in for questioning. It was here that a Bureau for Paranormal Research Representative/Agent stepped in to offer Axel two options: a) go to jail, or b) go on parole and join BPRD. A win/lose situation, but there was no way he was going to go with the first one.

Third Person Sample: A new setting...and more rules to follow. Joy.

Axel sighed as he followed the agents through the corridors of the facility he was to reside in. Their voices blurred as he focused on certain parts of the building itself, finding several dents and cracks going along the walls. Maybe they didn't catch that, he thought. Going back on his options and going to prison was also tempting at this point.

An agent cleared his throat, causing the redhead to return his attention to the front. The stern look was given a simple eyebrow raise. "Don't worry, I heard you," Axel then answered plainly. "Do that, don't do this, blah blah blah. I get it. No need to repeat it. It's all memorized." He pointed to his head with one hand while the other rested upon his hip, green eyes glancing about the hall once more before resting back upon the agents.

Then, a smirk appeared. "Now, where do I start?"

INSERT OBLIGATORY TRAINING MONTAGE HERE. WITH MUSIC.

First Person Sample: Oh, come on! It's not like they were using that area at the time! *sits down heavily before leaning back, putting his feet up on the table* I mean, look. There was nothing within that perimeter. Nothing.
Just because it said 'private pro'-

*hand gestures and pauses as a response is given* Wh...After I w...oh, that. *laughs* Man, it was just a small section I lit up, okay? *pause* Well...okay, maybe it was bigger than that, but that was the first time it happened!

*long pause* ...All right, second time. *waves a hand* But I won't do it again! Promise! Really. Oh-ALL RIGHT, I'll try not to burn things on purpose! *snorts and folds arms*
