Yayyyyyyyyyy for the weekend.

After working last weekend and then the fiasco at work to the last snow store to hit the Midwest, I'm ready for time off. I hope everyone else's week has been better then mine

Tomorrow I'm planning on seeing the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place. That will take a while but I'm hoping it'll give me a better idea of what I want to buy to replace my current car. It's is 13 years old so I think it's getting to be time. Now if only I didn't hate 4-cylinder econo-box cars. After the snow we got here, I'll definitely be stopping by Jeep's display. If only DC would put that new clean burning diesel engine in the Jeep Commander. I know it's going in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I want a Commander.

I think I might also hit State Street and Michigan Avenue for shopping if time permits and it's not super cold. It would be nice to stop in the Carson Pirie Scott flagship store before they close it for good next month. Especially since I'm one of the Chicagoans who refuses to shop in the form Marshall Field's stores now that they fly Macy's red communist star of shopping. If I wanted to shop a store that was full of designer knock-offs and not designer labels, I list a whole lot of department stores. All that I don't really shop at. So I guess I'll be making the walk from the trains station to N Michigan Avenue more for clothes. I hope Club Monaco is having a sale on winter stuff by now. I saw at there location in Toronto a kick ass black winter scarf. It was hand woven and so long that the end would easily reach my knees and I'm 6'1" so that tells you how long it is. But they wanted $135 dollars Canadian and the Chicago store wanted $125 for the damn thing. So if it's on sale, I'll splurge. Other wise I'm SOL. I'm also on the look out for a toggle/duffle coat in camel/tan color. I hope to find one.

Then Sunday, my coworkers and I visiting the Museum of Science and Industry for the Body Worlds 2 exhibit they have going on right now. Learn more about it here. Some people might think it's creepy but my coworkers and I think it would be cool as hell. Now if only I could take pictures. But they have a set of smokers lungs there, so I'll have even more justification of stay on my toes about not smoking. Next Friday will have been four months since my last cigarette. And I still keep nicotine gum here and there for when things get bad and I want to smoke. Though I think the cold weather has stopped me more then anything else.
