Jack's arms were completely full. He had a tray of coffees from the Perk and two big bags from J,Gob, one filled with things that were mostly good for you, one with things that most assuredly were not.

Parker had said breakfast was required, and Jack didn't do anything by half measures.

It did present a problem when it came to knocking, however Jack solved it by knocking with his head.

It took a moment for the thought that there was a noise that she shouldn't be hearing coming from the other side of the room to process in D'anna's brain.

Once it did, she half-fumbled, half-stumbled toward the door calling out, "just a second!"

"Not a problem," he called back. Jack could wait a second. Jack could wait several seconds, in fact, as he leaned on the wall next to the door, sniffing the lovely aroma wafting from the cups.

After a few moments, she succeeded in opening the door a crack.

Which was a bit more open than her eyes that were squinty-slits, "Jack?"

"Morning, D." Jack smiled fondly at her, because she was adorable in her half asleep state. A bit of juggling transferred everything to one had, and he snagged a coffee, holding it out to her. "Coffee?"

D moved back, opening the door further so Jack could come in and took the offered coffee in both hands, all helpful like. "You're an angel."

"An angel on a mission," he laughed, slipping through the open door. "Parker said you guys needed supplies, and deputised me to make sure you didn't waste away to nothing. Hence coffee and," he shifted the tray to his other hand and held up the bags, "food, of both healthy and non healthy varieties."

"The best kind." D smiled, softly as she was still waking up. "Parker's a genius." She said as she held out a hand, "let me help you with that." She closed the door behind them.

"She is." Jack handed her the tray of coffees and looked around the room. "This is quite the set-up you've got here," he said, wandering over to one of the near-empty counters to set down the bags. "How are things going?"

D took the coffees and set the tray down on Rory and Mac's table. She figured coffee was a bad thing to give Faithful, no matter who he was... or where he was. She shrugged and didn't look at him as she answered. "They're going."

Jack frowned at that and moved back to stand in front of her. "You okay?" he asked quietly, laying his hand on her shoulder and squeezing gently.

D closed her eyes, she didn't want to answer but she couldn't lie to Jack. It was a thing. "Define okay."

"You know that answer means no," he told her, letting his hand slide down to her back, gently urging her forward, and held out his other arm. "Come here. Jack hugs make everything better."

D slid forward into his embrace. "I'm scared, Jack." She said from where she leaned her head against his shoulder. "So scared."

"It's okay. It's going to be okay." He held her close, rubbing slow, soothing circles on her back. "Don't be scared. Parker'll get him back, safe and sound."

Without moving and in a very quiet voice so as not to be overheard by Rory or Mac. "Don't give a damn about Jake. Daddy's money will find him soon enough."
