Ah yes well if I pester the hubby to update then I too should make sure that I update.
Well yesterday was really cool as I went out to lunch with Ryan. We went over to Chilies wich is right down the street! I mean one of these days I am not going to be able to find my way home becuase things are changing so much all the time. There is just a billion things here, and more being built. Its not just like I am suddenly seeing a restaurant here and there, its whole shopping complexes popping up every where. Even whole super markets just suddenly being there. It was only 6 months since I was here for christmas! But enough about building, and such, no one cares.
So any way, we were talking about folk who I went to high school with and well its just so neat to hear about what they are doing and how they are. Chris Kline is going to be a music teacher, John Jackson is a published author and will soon be a Dr of Engligh, Ryan Ellis has published over 500 pages and will also soon be a Dr of English, Kris Farmer is a bouncer at a night club and seems to have seriously bulked up, Jason Cross works for UPS in their store and lives with Kris, JOhn Bartholomu whos parents are millionares, is now making his own millions working for Coca cola and not by working with his parents, Chris Higgins works for Johns parents as an accountant and is looking at marriage...
I don't know I guess I just think its so neat to hear about where people are and what choices they made on how to lead their life. Perhaps it is like watching some elaborate sim game or something but I think its neat any way. I like to see and hear about all the folk I went to school with, all my old friends. I guess I am some sort of weirdo.
But lunch with Ryan was good, it was good to see him again. He also gave me a signed copy of his first manuscript and well for the (attempted) book collector thats a big thing for me. I even have my own poem in his first book and well thats just cool ya know? Or at least I think it is. But then I am into that kind of stuff you know? So yes I will be forcing all of you to buy and read Ryan's poems and I shouldn't have to twist your arms to hard they are pretty darned good.
Bah but that seems to be enough for now for me. I should really go and get dressed and all that good stuff.
