Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling 7-26-04 to 7-27-04

This is much like the first book in the series but having read them all before you begin to see that that books are getting more seriouse as the characters get older. Infact several people have commented that the books get progressivly darker as they go on, and some parents disapprove of letting their very young children reading the latter books. I do think that it eases the story in, and find it to be age appropriate for any one. Perhaps when I reread the last two I will change my mind.

But book two in itself is another sugary childrens book. A quick read with the happy moral ending. Though I must say I am beginning to wonder how much Dumbeldor really know all the time. He seems amazingly omnipotent all the time, but then he is also the most powerful wizard out there.

I also wonder how much crap they can really put Harry Potter threw, I mean the poor kid has 5 books of crap happening to him. Its beginning to get a bit unrealistic (knowing that there are 3 more books) with all of this happening to Harry Potter. I think if this were an adult novel I would have lost interst. But the carefree casual writing style is, almost like reading an oral story and makes the lack of detail and sometime unbelievable pot enjoyable.

But its Harry Potter, I don't have to much to say. Its much like the first.
