I'm sitting in my final Astronomy class,
and we're just now, in the last few minutes of class getting to the topic of life on other planets, its the one topic I was really interested in (that and about the creation of our universe). The Drake Equation estimates the probability of other forms of communicable life in our Galaxy which I think is about as useful as a wooden spoon in your ass. There are at least 4 variables in the equation that are just minuscule fractions based on hypothetical values.
never take a science night class, 2.5 hours of science lecture can cause sever problems. I thought I'd be star gazing all the time, but nope, apparently Boston's sky isn't clear enough for it. I've taken 2 astronomy classes and only looked through the telescope once, it was at the moon and it wasn't great.
There's a question I feel most people don't ask each other, but I'd like to know from anyone who reads this:
Do you believe in the big bang "theory"?
