Elijiah believed that God was an architect of destruction. Until one day, while out in the wild, Elijiah was overtaken by a ferocious wind, but the Lord was not in the wind. And then the wind was followed by the shaking of the Earth, but the lord was not in the quake. And after the quake, there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. After the torrent there was complete silence, and Elijiah had an epiphany. The nature of God was not in the violence that ensued about the Earth, but in the peace that followed.
