Random update...kinda all over the place

Figured I should update since I had a busy, and pretty eventful, week.

I went to the prison in Orofino on Wednesday and it was very interesting.  We left here at 7 am and got there at 8:30, an hour before we needed to be.  We hung out in the car til everyone showed up and then we went into the facility.  We got wanded and traded our IDs for visitor badges.  The Deputy Warden took us around and he was a UI alum, so of course, he was awesome. ;)  We started at A block, which houses the high security inmates.  We went up to the control room to see into the three areas of inmates and the DW told us a little about the area and some other stuff about the place.  Then, we went into the office of one of the prison's case managers.  She helps those inmates whose possible parole is upcoming and puts them in programs that will help reintegrate them into society.  As we were going into the hallway, the highest security guys walked into the same hallway.  That was kinda freaky and I totally didn't even look at them.  Next, we went over to Charlie 1, the tier next to the hospital.  The oldest inmates and those who needed to be closest to the hospital resided there.  We walked all throughout their area, including the common area and their dormitories.  It was kinda creepy because they were all really old and staring all the time we were in there.  We then went to Bravo 1, where they house the therapeutic community called "FRIENDS," or Finding Recovery in Each New Day's Sunrise.  This program is for the guys who were alcohol and drug addicts; there are 3 sex offenders in there too, but they're usually not able to be in the program.  This program is one that helps reintegrate an inmate into the community.  These guys all wore green shirts, jeans and tennis shoes.  Two of the inmates in the program actually gave us the tour of the tier.  They showed us their dormitories, their handbooks and answered our questions for nearly 45 minutes.  It was a really cool tour, I love going to those sorts of things.

On Friday, Mackenzie and I played badminton doubles...and we SUCKED!  These two sorority girls beat us and they really shouldn't have.  I think if we could've played best 2 out of 3, we would've won, but since the guy was a jerk, we only played one.  Haha, but Champ and Chris actually won in the boys bracket.  That was kinda funny since they only had to play two games, whereas the other team in the final games with them probably had to play at least 5 before that one.

Then it was off to Mallorie's party.  Let me just tell you, I don't drink very often and if I do, it's usually not til I pass out.  This night was a bit different.  Christina was there and started doling out the rum and cokes.  She's quite the bad influence on me in regard to drinking. lol  But we did have a lot of fun...from what I remember.  The last thing I actually remember is getting in Mallorie's car.  I guess I gave her good directions because I did wake up in my bed, but I just don't remember anything else.  Oh, and I guess I hit my forehead somewhere along the lines cuz when I woke up it hurt like hell.

This weekend was pretty boring, except on Saturday my aunt and uncle invited me over for dinner.  She made split pea with ham soup, which is my FAVORITE!!!  She also gave me a cute Christmas decoration for my apartment. :)  Then I met Mackenzie for the volleyball game.  It was so boring because they totally creamed the other team.

My sister and the boy haven't talked to my parents yet...but I may think that its because my dad is out hunting for a week.  Gonna have to ask her when she's gonna talk to them.  I'm kinda anxious to hear about it.

Yay!!!  16 days til GoF!!!!  17 days til I'm home for Thanksgiving!!!  Love it!!!
