I wrote a few weeks ago about how my DS was falling apart, and how I resolved to get a new one. I ultimately did not laybuy one, mainly because the nearest game shops are not all that near to me, and it wouldn't be convinient to have to travel far to put down the regular payments.

Today I went out doing some shopping with my uncle. We were going for clothes for me, as I am beginning to have a limited wardrobe, and he has far better fashion sense than I do. We ended up finishing our shopping around 12.30 (we started around 11), having gotten some really nice clothes (and a nice new big backpack) and so we set off back to his apartment to do stuff until we went off and saw Where the Wild Things Are (pretty good movie, really not for kids, more people who read the book as a kid). On the way, we dropped by EB Games. They were having a sale on DS Lites, and they actually HAD some, to boot. Even better, they had some blue ones.

So I spent most of my Christmas money on a nice new blue DS that is not broken. I've gotten used to the broken screen on the old (white) DS, so I'm going to have to break the habit of putting one finger under the top screen for support.
