Year 12 has started (on Wednesday, but I was trying to keep off the internet and do what homework I had). This is my last year of school. In my head, I imagine this as the final level, with the HSC as the final extremely hard boss. Hopefully my efforts at getting through this final year will be better than my track record on World 5 of Yoshi's Island DS (hint: I wasted about 30 lives on each level).
Interesting things have happened.
I was flicking through one of the Modern History textbooks, and found something interesting. It was a class photo of a German year 4 class in 1899. At the top row was Adolf Hitler, age ten.
Yeah, you heard me. Hitler went through primary school.
I find it interesting because he's basically shown as the most evil man ever to live. While this has some truth to it, it's sobering to see that the man who ordered mass-scale genocide was once a little kid. It also interests me because, did anyone in that class know, at that point, what one of their class would go on to do? It's a reminder that we have no idea what will happen in the future.
Also it had his school results. He failed pretty much everything. Contrasts quite a lot with what he eventually became.
In other news,
Tintin DA MOVEH is going right ahead. HELL YEAH. I personally can't see how this can go wrong-one of the writers is Steven Moffat, after all, who wrote some of the best Doctor Who episodes ever. Admittedly, one of those gave me nightmare fuel aplenty (I'll invite you to guess which one), but it was AWESOME nightmare fuel.
