One of the best weekends of my life...
And we're off...
The crowd going off for City of Blinding Lights
Travelled all night thurs...was uncomfortable and i was in a spotlight but the excitment kept me going!
Arrived at telstra stadium at 8am. About 40 people in the line, I was expecting about that. We settled in and fell asleep for an hour OMG SO GOOD! Then people started getting ansty and moving now and then, and tension was starting to build. I had to laugh at everyone as they were just frenzied about trying to know ANYTHING about what would be going on, and the rumours flying around were hilarious! Adam went off on his own adventure for 5 hours...poor thing - but thats Sydney PT for you! :D
We got let in at 5.30pm, and I hit the ground fast walking and grabbed the baricade right when the catwalk comes down to the b-side....one of the best spots! But while i was standing there and watching the people pour in thick and fast i thought 'nup I can't stand here in another crowd for 6 hours when i've eaten nothing and need to do wee wee' so adam and i moved and it was the best desicion! We were still in the inner ellipse bout 7 rows away from the barricades, but with the freedom to move and dance around - which i was glad for and knowing that i could have the front in melbourne made me feel even better! ehehehe
Kanye was ok, not as shit as i was expecting which i was surprised at, but glad for (as have to sit through him another 2 times!)
Then OOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOOH Wake Up came on....i started jumping up and down and cheering and people wer elooking at me and i was like 'they're next they're next!!!' and the lights went down and 50,000 people started cheering...it weas deafing and overwhelming and i started to cry a little because it was like all my dreams had come at once and then....the heavens opened and it began to rain....and it just upped the excitement and vibe x a million and BANG there they were and city of blinding lights started and everyone was jumping and hugging and screaming and it was just brilliant.
The set list was OUT OF THIS WORLD! City into Vertigo into Elevation into Until the End of the World is MADNESS! I didn't stop jumping for all 4 songs, the band looked amazing, bono sounded PERFECT and Adam was so smoking hot I almost died. Seriously that man is fluid motion the way he SAUNTERS with his bass so casual and sexy......and the way he plays bass, makes my tummy funny *dies* Beautiful Day ROCKED and Walk On was magical...just breathtaking...i think i was floating out of my body by this point. Adam left to get some drinks (i was PARCHED from hyperventilating over the sexiness of adam HAHAHA) and I watched sometimes by myself which was so sad ...but i didn't want to cry, some random shirtless guy hugged me though and patted my cheek! HAHAH
Love and Peace...omfg. I LOVE this song and Larry banging away on the drums a few metres from me was brilliant...but o m g when bono started hitting it moving into sunday bloody sunday I almost carked it. That was TEH HOTTEST. I wanted to molest him right then... :D~~~~
Miss Sarejevo....stunning. Bono hit a new high...him singing pavarotti's bit...blew me away. Cannot talk that song up enough!
Then the best bit of the night Zoo Station into THE FLY. FUCK ME. I ADORE THAT SONG and was going off....and adam was making his way back from the b stage and i whistled and jumped up and down like a loon waving at him and he turned around smiled and SEXY BASSED AT ME. Adam (my boyf) was more excited then i was (i think i stopped breathing hehehe)
and then a BLUR....and KITE....and O M G i couldn't believe i was singing KITE along with u2....it was a dream...the whole night seemed like a dream...and it was over and i was ded.
We got a bus and walked a bit got back to our lovely hotel and i was in bed asleep in like 10 mins.
I didn't take any pics 1. cause i had shitty camera 2. because it rained and 3. because i wanted to take everything in the whole night.
SATURDAY
I bought the camera....i had too, and i was all adult and asked for 'less for cash?' and got an extra $50 knocked off...hellz yeah! So this one will have pics but remember, i was far away and still working out the camera to get the best shots so they're not that good.
Our seats were FANTASTIC. Right at the front of the 3rd level, one section from the stage...the BEST VIEW EVER. Couldn't have been happier then if i was sitting in Adam (u2) lap the whole night hehehe
it was great to see the crowd where i was the night before...and the light show...i never noticed there were lights on the stage before VERY cool!
Three big changes saturday night that made the weekend the best ever
STUCK....omg....FULL BAND STUCK. IT was brilliant and our section LOVED it.
the best thing ever....me saying to adam 'if they play a little while, its all over for me' so right after stuck, i hear the familiar chord (after bono said everyone in u2 and their families are well...HUZZAH! :D xxxxxx) and i just started to cry, i couldn't even speak...i couldnt believe he started singing it...it wasn't the whole song, but it was enough to make me so happy i can't explain how i felt right at that moment.
and DESIRE instead of Angel o Harlem....HELL YES! What a HOT song....i was dancing around being dirty...AHAHAHA
and all the other songs, just as brilliant EVER!!! The night ROCKED! absolutely ROCKED!
