So NYSSSA is over. A whole month of my life was spent with people. Every single day I saw them. And suddenly, they're gone. We'll never all be in one place at the same time. We'll never have 3 hour choir rehearsals together again. And theory classes for me will never be the same.
NYSSSA was a month when I really grew. I came to learn who I am, and I've accepted it. Even if I didn't make a ton of close friends, the ones who I did come to call my close friends are more than enough to make me happy. Whether I was close to a person or not, they still had a major impact on my life. I will always remember the people I've met at NYSSSA. We all came together for a common purpose: we love music. And I think that purpose held us together until the very end.
I'm not going to write a long thing on here about NYSSSA, because a lot of it should be kept to myself. But I just have to say that all the singers at that camp made my month incredible. NONE of you should change who you are EVER, because you are all amazing people. Whether I knew you extremely well, or even if I didn't, I love you all. I love us as a group, I love you all as individuals. I would write individual notes, but that would take forever.
I just have to say that I love you, Emily and Alyssa. There's no other words that I can use that can express my feelings for you two. You were like my sisters for a month. You would think that being constantly together would drive some people crazy, but we were friends until the very end. You are AMAZING people, and you brightened my day every day. WEIRD DAAAAYYYYYY-AH just won't be the same without all three of us there. I can't imagine how I would have made it through the month without you two. Once again, I love you.
I want to write individual notes now, but I just can't. All I can say is that you know who you are if you made a major effect on my life. And if I leave you out, I apologize...Matty, Vinny my love, Chris, Janaki, Kerry, Meg, Laila, Rachel, Aaron, Rosie, Sara, Rob Potter, Darius...thank you for being the people I got to know the most. You are all amazing people, and I hope to see you all in the near future.
