Summary: It was Christmas, and nothing this 8-year old Sungmin knew could dampen his spirits, it was all, snow, skates, and mistletoe. That was, till he met a boy named Cho Kyuhyun. Would Sungmin's Christmas remain perfect after all?

The snowflake crystals fell delicately on Sungmin's soft flushed face. He stuck out his pink tongue to taste the snow. His eyes then narrowed, and his bottom lip jutted out in confusion.

"It doesn't taste like cotton candy!" Sungmin whined and pouted.

"Don't be silly, when does snow ever taste sweet anyway." A voice snickered.

Sungmin turned around to face the unidentified person.

This boy, stood there, about a head taller than little Sungmin. He had his hands stuffed in his brown coat, and jeans tucked into some scruffy boots. His face, pale but blushed, from the cold.

His wavy brown locks blew in the gentle wind, and he shivered, wrapping his checkered scarf tighter around his neck.

Sungmin looked puzzled. "Do i know you?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"No, but you do now. My name is Cho Kyuhyun." Kyuhyun answered, shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh! Hi, i'm Sungmin, wanna help me finish my snowman?" Sungmin smiled gleefully, grateful that he finally found a new friend.

"Psh, help you? build a snowman?" He said, sounding offended. "I have better things to do with my time than build snowmans with you."

Kyuhyun then bent down to play with the fallen snow, gathering some and examining it closely.

"Then why did you talk to me if you didn't want to be friends?" Sungmin asked, his face scruched up in confusion. Not once in his life did he encounter such a complicated 8 year old.

"Well, because i thought it'd be fun to do this." Kyuhyun said, taking the snowball that some how magically appeared in his hand, and throwing it directly at Sungmin.

It hit Sungmin right smack in the gut and he fell to the ground, butt first, on the hard ice. He heard Kyuhyun's evil laughter but when he looked up, the boy was gone. All that was left was his laugh echoing in the wind around him.

Sungmin sat there shielding himself from the cold. His bunny sweater was dampened by the ice, and his pink beanie was filthy. And, he had just been bullied by some guy he barely even knew.

He let out a soft sob. This was the worst Christmas ever.

-----

Sungmin ran home from the park and into his mother's arms.

"Whats wrong sweetheart?" His mother asked worriedly, she had never seen her little boy so upset before.

"CHRISTMAS IS RUINED." Sungmin yelled loudly before staining his mother's shirt with his tears.

"What happened dear? Tell mommy everything," She said gently, hugging Sungmin closely.

"Theres this... p-person i met." Sungmin hiccuped.

"That person was mean to me for no reason, and threw a snowball at me when i didn't even do anything!" He wailed.

His mother pondered for awhile before answering.

"Maybe... maybe that person likes you. And she was just trying to get your attention." His mother whispered.

Sungmin's eyes peeked out from his mother's shirt. And just when he was about to mention that the 'she' was actually a 'he', he stopped himself.

He'd try something out first, to test if his mother's theory was right.

---

The next day was as icy as the previous, and Sungmin was making his way back to the playground he was at yesterday.

The area was covered in a white blanket, filled with children of all ages, making snow angels, having snowball fights.

Sungmin smiled to himself, today, he was going to make things right.

He was going to save his own Christmas.

He made his way over to the park bench before he sat down with a huff. His eyes searched the area for a familiar face, and to his surprise, he found that person walking straight towards him.

"Nice hat you got there," Kyuhyun said sarcastically, eyes glancing at his pink and white striped wool hat. "Where did you get it, the girls section?" And laughed to himself.

Sungmin eyed the boy and replied. "Why do you have to be so mean Kyuhyun? If you liked me you could have just said so."

Kyuhyun looked taken aback at that remark and was momentarily, lost for words. Kyuhyun bit his tongue.

Usually, he could find a response to any sort of comment thrown his way, so this, was bad.

Sungmin smiled smugly to himself, got you back you meanie! He thought.

"W-Where on earth, did you get that idea from?!" Kyuhyun scoffed and he crossed his arms over his chest ignorantly.

"My mommy told me that you were being mean to me because you liked me." Sungmin answered swinging his legs back and forth, his face just filled with the most innocent expression you would have ever seen.

"What! N-No, your mom is wrong." Kyuhyun abit too hysterically.

"Save it Kyuhyun." Sungmin answered.

He got up from his seat and walked over to the rather stunned boy, tiptoed, and planted a small kiss on his lips.

"There, that wasn't so hard was it?" Sungmin said sweetly to the wide eyed boy with his mouth agape. "But i've got to go now, so... see you around Kyuhyun-ah."

He turned to walk off but he felt Kyuhyun grab him firmly by the hand.

Kyuhyun whirled him around and suddenly, he felt those lips being pressed to his own for just a small second.

Sungmin let out a gasp and Kyuhyun blushed red, cold bare hands still holding on to Sungmin's gloved ones.

"Erm Sungmin, i have something to ask you." Kyuhyun asked sheepishly.

"Would you come build snowmans with me?"

Sungmin's eyes lit up with joy, and eagerly nodded.

"I would love to." Sungmin giggled, and they walked off hand in hand, to spend the rest of their Christmas together.
