It was one of those surreal moments when you realize you’ve made a horrible mistake; backed the wrong horse. Standing there, in front of that window, staring at him in that suit of his, I knew. I gave it all up for one man’s idea of what was right, and in that moment, I felt like a fool.
He just stared at me through those tiny slits in his mask. “I’m disappointed in you, Peter.”
“Not as disappointed as I am in myself.” As I jumped, that foolish feeling faded. At least I wouldn’t be on Tony Stark’s leash anymore.
