The good and the very strange

Good things:

1) FINALLY got something resembling a mix up on my site. It's just a nine minute test mix--if you must know, it's seven minutes of the Jacques Lu Cont remix of Depeche Mode's "A Pain That I'm Used To" into the Claude Le Gauche Club Mix of "Paralyzed" by Rock Kills Kid, which plays for about a minute. But yeah, it's up there, and the fact that it's up there means I can put a real mix up there. Hopefully by this weekend, if not sooner, because there's people I met at a service industry party last night who are really riding my ass about it (that's a good thing).

2) You know this by now, but the Mets have clinched the NL East. That's just the first step. LET'S GO METS!!

And now for the totally weird:

Our wonderful former governor and current Gay American, Jim McGreevey, just came out with his book, The Confession. Over on 101.5 this afternoon, The Jersey Guys had "celebrities" (actually Jeff Norris and Craig Carton doing various impersonations, some good, most terrible, all hysterical) doing readings. The Archie Bunker impersonation in particular was so hilarious, I had to concentrate on the wheel, I was cracking up so hard.

Anyway, an excerpt. Credit goes to the N.Y. Daily News site:

"I took Golan by the hand and led him upstairs to my bed. We undressed and he kissed me. It was the first time in my life that a kiss meant what it was supposed to mean. ... I pulled him to the bed and we made love like I'd always dreamed: a boastful, passionate, whispering, masculine kind of love."

Alright, fess up....which one of you teenie slash writers out there is ghostwriting for Jim McGreevey? Because that has got to be among one of the worst descriptions of male-on-male sex I've ever seen. Hey Jim, you want someone to give good detail of your rest stop encounters, hit me up.
