One more reason to never move back to New Jersey

G-Rock aka FM 106.3 WHTG Aug. 1984-Jan. 19, 2009.

Goodbye to the station that got me thru the second half of high school and beyond. Goodbye to an old friend that stood with me throughout the years* I was stuck at my parents' house. Goodbye.

It's a friggin' top 40 station now. Because apparently the morons at Press Communications seem to have forgotten that (a) nobody listened to B98.5, the last time they had a top 40 station and (b) we still get Z100 loud and clear.

Guess when I'm back in NJ my radio dial doesn't leave 95.9 The Rat. Or WRXP, assuming it's still around.

*For about 3 or 4 years after the station was sold, it pretty much blew chunks because they couldn't figure out what to exactly play on an alternative format. They even played Bon Jovi and Avril Lavigne, for Mike's sake. Still doesn't make the wound any less deep though.
