Happy Yule
Happy Yule to everyone! As of tomorrow night, we can look forward to our days inching longer. It's hard to believe we're celebrating the Winter Solstice when it's 50 degrees out. Hardly summer weather, but better than freezing my ass off.
Thank you to maiea, sunhawk, and kirke_novak for the gifts in my stocking. I'll get good use of them all. Kirke, you still didn't tell me if that naked disco diva was male or female. :P
What I really want for Yule is one of these. But since that's not likely--Jimmy and I had both very rollercoaster years financially--Jimmy told me to expect lots of Hello Kitty stuff. See, he went to Hawaii this past week to shoot the Oahu Masters, and when that was done, he was able to check out proof that our lovely 50th State is like all the others. Behold the mall! Inside said mall is a Sanrio Surprises shop. Damn my local mall for abusing the privilege of having a Sanrio store. I wonder what kind of Hello Kitty tchotkes I'm getting.
Also, he mentioned, "I'm outside a Claire's right now. I think I'll get you another trinket." Squee!
I hope he gets me something Godiva related. Every year he does. Also one piece of expensive jewlery. Oh, I'll wear the cheap trinkets much more...but one nice piece always does something special. Or better yet, a turntable.
My mom gave me a white Hello Kitty hoodie, so now I have two to wear for the holidays. Also a pack of candy-flavoured lip glosses. I gave her a DVD set of the second season of Lost. My dad got a red sweater from Kohl's.
On Christmas Eve, I fly down to Tampa to celebrate the holiday with Jimmy's family. So between then and January 3, updates will be sporadic (then again, what else is new?). Enjoy the Yule season, even if it is a bit warm.
