Do you have nothing better to do??
All afternoon there have been clusters of people standing around and chitchatting about nothing important in very loud tones. When I take calls I have to stick my finger in my ear and ask the caller to repeat him/herself because of the noise. Most of these people are visiting professors here to review our grad students so I feel uncomfortable telling them to shut it but I have this urge to just scream at them. You're in an office, people, not a bar. I don't want to be rude but obviously you don't have any problem with being that way yourselves. *kicks them all in the shins*
