friday they tell me the sex of my baby. that will be nice to know.
shower stuff... apparently amy and bekka are throwing me a shower at floyd's sister's house in slidell the first saturday of May. i would love all of you to come, but i will be needing your addresses and phone numbers to give to the girls so they can do invites. so, if youre interested, send me your current info.
im officially moving to slidell and my last day of work is march 30th,yay. i havent lived at home in 8 years, its gonna be weird. tryin to locate some old friends but they are sparse. we're going to have a crawfish boil at greg's house as our lil goin away thing on March 25th, everyone is of course invited. but if you plan on eatting you need to bring $15 for the feast. crawfish have been high this season and some of the money goes towards the fixins too. if you are comin, let us know in advance so we can plan on gettin the right poundage of crawfish and as always payment ahead of time is greatly appreciated.
so much life change going on right now, for so many of us. lots of friends moving, buying houses (beautiful place jen and chad!), having or already had kids, gettin married, etc. its amazing and exciting to see how all our lives unfold. but i need a freakin rest! im sooooo tired. it was one thing after another for me. 3 mos. of morning sickness and other early pregnancy blahs, and i just got my energy back but now have to put my feet up often to fight these damned varicose veins. ive been to 3 states on work in less than a month and a half. i moved out of my apartment in 3 days after my landlord tried to screw me. i went to mardi gras. all my stuff is still in boxes because im about to turn around and move to slidell. brandon got a job, i quit my job, and brandon is quitting his current job for a better one. planning showers, planning weddings, tryin to find maternity clothes that dont suck. gonna be in a house in plaquemine for a month, then a fema trailer for a month, then into a house in slidell.
im gettin varicose veins and tryin to fight sodium in an attempt to control the discomfort. apparently, pregnant people end up with 3 times as much blood in their bodies as usual by the time they deliver. this added blood causes added pressure. cuttin sodium can help and so can increasing fiber. sodium is weird by the way, you never expect where it turns up in mass quanities... can coke: 50mg of sodium, one fluid cup of milk: 270mg of sodium, sprite(no caffeine): 70mg of sodium, OJ: 0mg of sodium. its very hard to cut back on milk, i love it sooo much and i mean, it does a body good. so, im pounding OJ, im goin to turn orange soon.
on another silly note, i have found somethin new and weird. pregnant people have crazy mood swings and emotional upheavals periodically due to hormonal changes,as many of you know. well many women, MOST women, go through crying phases and weepies. i was very afraid of this stage considering my past difficulties with depression. well, it turns out, i react completely different when i hit one of these swings.... i get random hysterical laughing fits. its always over some stupid thing i say or do that i think is totally fuckin hilarious and no one else really gets. and i laugh, oh god, do i laugh. i laugh for like 5 mins and i laugh so hard that i tear and my sides hurt. its actually really great. i didnt realize it was hormonal till it happened twice in 2 weeks and brandon said that it was my hormones. he thinks its pretty funny, not what im laughin about cause thats not really very funny at all except to me, but its funny how i laugh uncontrollably. things could be alot worse than this and i am grateful this is how i get to deal with all these emotions. but i thought it was an interesting lil side note.
i cant seem to gain much weight. ive put on like 7 lbs. and that was a month ago. im still at that weight. i eat all the time but cant seem to gain. doc says i'll see a noticeable difference at the end of this month. i hope so. its strange, i have this growing belly but no real weight gain. brandon's mom says im jsut "redistributing". wouldnt it be cool if i could get a nice luscious ass out of this??! doubt it.
oh, i gave everyone the wrong due date. baby is due july 16th... but anywhere from 2 weeks early to 2 weeks later. looks like a cancer baby. keep an eye out for the baby's pool. its ya'lls chance to make money off bettin on the baby's actual arrival date. if you'd like more baby info, or just to see how cool my hunny is, check out www.random-bits.com its brandon's site and there is a section called Braslyn with baby info in it.
