First day on the job
Well, I had my first day on the job yesterday. And I'm kinda meeting it with mixed feelings. Now I know that it was only one day and the first day is always the hardest, it can only get easier.
At least that's what I'm hoping.
I have to remember the old way of printing film and there's another computer system that I have to learn. And there's just the newness of it all.
But when I signed on, I figured that I would be in photo all the time. That is my job after all. Some days I'm on the registers. Some times I'm on the floor being the "breaker" (sole purpose: provide breaks for pretty well everybody but pharmacy). Oh and part of my closing duties includes filling and zoning the coolers and freezers...... Yea..... Where is that in processing film.
I also got to teach the lead photo tech a few things (which kinda concerned me, but he now wants me to take his place when/if he leaves).... I've got a lot of maintence to do before those machines loo anywhere near what they shoud be.
I honestly don't know.... I'm really meeting this all with mixed feelings. It's not what I hoped it would be; howI was originlly sold on. So for now I'm going to make due, until something better comes along. Point blank it's a job. I may be making more on unemployment, but I'm doing something, I just hope that I might feel like I'm succeeding, and getting things done. Do I want to persue going further with this company? No. I'll pass.
