Last night was absolutely AMAZING! The concert was by far the greatest I have ever been to!
Summary (LoL):
So, I went to Laura's around 5:45 where Kristi and Char were already waiting. We ended up leaving around 6:00 and got there at about 7:00. The opening band was The Format. I'd never heard of them before but they were really good! We sort of wandered about away from our seats to try and get better ones but that only lasted a short time.
Eventually Taking Back Sunday came on and everyone absolutely freaked--it was SO exciting! Their performance was really energetic and even better than I could've imagined! It was totally awesome! They opened up with "One Eighty By Summer" and played almost every song from "Where You Want To Be" as well as three songs from "Tell All Your Friends." It was really awesome when they played "New American Classic" because just about everyone had their lighters and cell phones up--you just had to be there! They played a couple of new songs which were really good! For their last song, they played "A Decade Under The Influence!" Everyone was totally flipping out and dude it was so awesome!
After they played, Laura, Char, Kristi, and I went out to get TBS shirts (which I'm wearing mine now LoL). The line was long so it took quite a while--then I went to get a drink. While I was in line... I happened to notice an "Authorized Personel Only" door that was convieniently located right next to us. A couple of minutes later a tall dude wearing the same blue hoodie of Fred from TBS came out of that door and talked to the security woman there. IT WAS FRED! Nobody noticed but me and I just stared at him... he was less than 15 ft away from us and it was just amazing! He looked at me because he realized that I knew who he was and I waved haha. It was TOTALLY awesome! So then the others realized who it was and they were like having spaz attacks--totally awesome.
Then Jimmy Eat World was next on the line-up. Their set was really awesome--it had a bunch of different sized TVs that were digitally linked to one and they all played random pictures of well... random things. Anyway they totally ROCKED! It was like amazing to see the band that sort of got me into this whole thing! They didn't play "The World You Love" which sort of dissapointed me, considering that (on my iTunes play list count thing) I've listened to it 93 times... but they played "Kill" and ended with "Sweetness!" They were really amazing live... everyone seemed to be into them.
The concert was a really awesome experience! Also BIG thanks to Laura, Char and Kristi for the rides and smuggling me up to a better seat! It was an AWESOME time!
Today I have to go to a faily reunion... O joy. Then tonight I'm going to Liz's with Taylor and Alessandra. That should be a lot of fun! But for right now I have to practice piano... talk to y'all later!
