So I stumbled across an artist by the name of Akaine. She's a lovely 12 year old artist and poet who has an undeniable talent. I love her paintings, although very religious, her work is to be wholeheartedly admired.
Her paintings and passion lie deep within her religious faith, and this is where my concern comes in. Every person of every faith will at some point in their lives question it, Akaine paints because she thinks that God has a special task for her, to spread his message. There is nothing wrong with that, but what happens when Akaine is called to question her faith? The thought sends chills down my spine.
Religion has always been a huge debate for me, but this child believes so strongly, that even as someone that does not believe in her God hopes that she never sees the world for what it really is, or loses her passion. She is definately going places, and I hope that she continues to try and use her talent to do good things.
