So, Thanksgiving was yesterday. I'd say it was a good Thanksgiving. I watched the parade in the morning and I was in a good mood. I was a bit worried because my mom decided to get a frozen turkey this year, but it did defrost in time. We did good with the turkey this year. We got some seasonings and gravy from Williams & Sonoma, and the seasonings made the turkey taste really flavorful. The gravy was pretty good too. Was it the best I've ever had? No, but it's still good. We also had croissants, yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and of course my brother's girlfriend brought over that to die for creamed corn with the parmesan crust, which was made by a relative. For dessert my mom made her apple dump cake, and we also got a pumpkin pie from Wild Fork. I haven't tried that one yet, but the others said it was good.
Before dessert, we played a Disney trivia board game. My brother's girlfriend, my brother, and I all had an advantage there, but my brother's girlfriend ended up winning. It was pretty fun. I was hoping we would have time to catch a show last night, but it was late. We had to make dinner late because my brother and his girlfriend had a separate Thanksgiving with his girlfriend's family in the afternoon. I don't know why they decided to air the shows on Thanksgiving night anyway. Now I have to dodge spoilers. I was super stuffed again as per usual. And that was about it for Thanksgiving. Enjoyable. Eva is sort of slightly getting used to my brother and his girlfriend. She's still scared of them, but was willing to take some turkey from them. So, that's some progress. And they gave her some new toys to play with. :) She tends to rip those soft toys to shreds, or at least she rips the legs off of them lol.
I guess that's all I have to say about that. Christmas is coming next. Oh, I guess perhaps I should share my Christmas list while I'm here.
*Ergonomic computer chair (I'm still in dire need to fix my whole desk setup to hopefully avoid pain.)
*Steam gift card
*Horrible Therapist card game (From one of my favorite web comic people: The Oatmeal.)
*New purse (Mine current one is pretty worn out.)
*Guilt and Ginataan by Mia P. Manasala (Would have bought this for myself, but it's pretty expensive for some reason for such a little book, so I'll let my mom buy it. :P I've been enjoying this Filippino cozy mystery series, and this is book five in the series.)
I didn't know what else to add to my list, so my mom might need to get creative.
