My Birthday

Jul 18, 2018 12:15

So yesterday was my birthday. While my mom wasn't here to celebrate, I still had a pretty fun time. First, Grammy came over at 1:30 and we went to the frozen yogurt place called Yogurtland. I got cookies and cream yogurt with too much candy on it lol. Then we went over to Grammy's house so I could do some work for her on her computer. Yeah, on my birthday. :P It was the same old moving pictures from her emails into folders. This time we were writing the steps down so she could do it on her own. We did this in the past, but apparently she lost the paper. The problem with writing the steps down however is it would be different for every picture because there are different folders and well it's a disorganized mess, so hell if she'd be able to find the folders. She's better off putting all the pictures into one folder. I need to fix that mess someday. So I don't know if the written instructions are going to do her any good for everything. While we were doing that, I got a call from my mom. She was talking to me about bowling. I wanted to do that for my birthday in Downtown Disney, but it's going to end up being a birthday celebration combination for my dad and I. And we're going to do that on the 29th. However, my mom hasn't heard back from the bowling alley in Downtown Disney, so she doesn't know if we'll be able to reserve lanes there in time. Yeah because she always waits until it's too late. :P She's going to give them some more time, but if it doesn't work out then we'd play at the bowling alley at this place called The District. We've played there before and it's nice, and she's able to reserve lanes there, but it would be a bummer if we can't go to the Disney one because I was looking forward to it. That doesn't mean we wouldn't play there some day.

But going off that subject, after finishing the work on the computer, Grammy had us do these stretch/excercises. OK. Then we read our books while waiting for my brother and my dad to arrive. That is at least until Grammy got a phone call from someone. Grammy tried to pawn off chocolate candy on me before we went out to dinner. *Sigh* This is typical Grammy. Then my brother and dad finally came over and we drove to the restaurant. My dad had pressured me into to picking a restaurant that was close to Boomers a couple of days before. I spent a long time trying to find something because I either didn't know what was around, places would be too expensive or I didn't like what was on the menu. I was stressing, but eventually settled on a place called The Daily Grill so we went there. The food was yummy. I got trout amandine with mashed potatoes, my dad got short ribs, my brother got chicken parmigiana, and grammy got meatloaf. Loved my dinner. I'm having the leftovers for lunch today. Then we ordered dessert too. It was called a fudge brownie pie, but it was more like a sundae. It was OK. Not the best. Oh and before all this, I got a $50 Amazon gift card from my dad. Great, added to my gift card balance. :P I'm rich. In my terms anyway. And I got a sweet card from him too. Grammy gave me a card and a $50 bill. Cash is fine, but I can't use it online. I have a load of cash. I didn't get anything from my brother, not even a card, but I don't care. Service at the restaurant was fine at least until the end when the waiter left and never seemed to come back. Then it was time for mini-golf.

My dad and my brother were hoping this game would go fast because they had to get home and get to bed because they had to work early. There was this Mexican woman and her daughter there who were pretty rude. The mother was sitting on our second or third hole talking on the cell phone and then later her daughter was standing on the green while we were trying to hit balls, and then on another hole they started hitting balls on the green before we were even finished. Annoying. >_> But aside from that, it was a fun time. I got in dead last though. :P When we took Grammy back home we picked up my birthday cupcake. I already blew out the candle before we left. Going to have some of that today as well. Haven't tried it yet. Hope it's good. Yeah, so that was my birthday. Tomorrow I'm going to the lake with Grammy.
