No Tsum Tsums
We went to Disneyland yesterday and it seemed like the entire U.S. population was there. Pirates of the Caribbean had a line that was longer than I've ever seen it before. So the crowds weren't too fun, but we did do the Tea Cups and Thunder Mountain and a few rides at California Adventure. I could have probably waited another week or two for lower crowds...maybe. It's hard to say these days since Disneyland seems to get more crowded by the year, which is puzzling to me due to the jacked up prices. We need some population control I think...dare I say that? Yes, I dare.
For lunch we went back to the Cafe Orleans and split the Monte Cristo sandwich this time. I had been waiting for it and it was worth the wait. Super yummy. And fattening.
Despite the crowdedness, I really only came for one thing: Tsum tsums. They are a brand new type of Disney plushie. They are really cute and because they're so cute, I think people are unable to resist them and therefore they are sold out. Ok, so I wasn't even half expecting to find them at Disneyland anyway. The store clerk said there's only one Disney store in all of Orange County that has them, and that's in South Coast Plaza. I think I'd rather wait to see if they get more in stock or order them online if possible.
I did end up getting the Art of Frozen book at the animation store. I'm surprised that they had it, but I guess seeing now how popular Frozen is they probably are printing more copies. Looking forward to delving into that in the near future.
My mom also got a cover up dress from a store in Adventureland for our vacation. However, it doesn't look right so she has to return it. She's going to see if she can return it at the Disney store or if she has to go back to Disneyland again to return it. Another trip to Disneyland. How unfortunate. :P And speaking of Disney clothes. The trip before this trip I got a Disneyland top, which I was using for pajamas, but I determined it's really too small for me and uncomfortable. I had wanted to get a bigger size on this trip, but I couldn't remember what size I had. Now I know the size, so I can get it when we return the dress :)
