So today was my first day on my internship. I thought it went all right. Had the job coach with me to help out just for the first day. All I did was copy papers and put them in binders. Sounds not too hard. Of course, when you've never used a copier before, it's tricky to figure out. Also you have to be very careful to make sure everything is right. On one of the groups of papers it didn't come out the same way as the original copy. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to fix it. I just hope I can manage to get the hang of it. I obviously have no trouble with putting the papers in the binders right. I go back again tomorrow. I set my own hours to work 3 days a week. Hopefully, if I don't screw up I'll eventually be hired for paid work. It's something and I'm getting experience, but I think I can already feel like it will be something I have to drag myself to go to. It's all good once you've got the job, but when you actually have to start doing it...lol it's not so fun. But seriously, it's not that bad I guess. I do have to be honest and say I probably would have preferred the heat sealing T-shirts job (even though the employment specialist said I'd enjoy this one better) however, I have no choice now since that didn't work out.
