Now both of my parents believe without doubt I have Asperger's Syndrome. How did this come to be? Well my mom was trying to find stuff about AS online. I'm not sure why, probably having to do with trying to find me health insurance. Maybe she was also looking up stuff for disabilities too. Anyway I told her she should look at my Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome by Tony Attwood. In there is where she found my paper that had a list of pages in the book for her to look at. I never did finish the book, but I did intend her to look at those pages eventually. So she was looking through and was totally amazed by what she found.
She told me she was even almost crying about it. Wow, I thought. I said to her "really?" She said, "yeah because there was something wrong with you and we didn't know it." Inside I felt a feeling of elation because now she understood. Then later she said to my dad "we know what dazed_girl has now" and she handed the book to my dad to thumb through. And he did say yeah it seemed pretty similar.
They haven't looked through all the pages I wrote down yet either, but hopefully they will.
Score!
I think my mom got Kourtnei to agree to only bring her dogs over let the dogs in the house when my dad isn't home. It's much somewhat quieter in the house because of that, and so now I'm more somewhat more happy and less irritated. I think that's better for the family. Maybe not for Kourtnei and my brother, but if they don't like it, then they can move out. Hopefully the peacefulness will continue.
Also I kind of ran out of things to do on the internet. Well not really, but I'm less interested in what I used to do. So, I'm going to read more instead. Try to tackle my insurmountable pile of books. :) As much as this will bring more happiness, there is still the lingering ugliness of not having a job nor health insurance. There's always something.
