The Golden Compass
I saw The Golden Compass this afternoon. I enjoyed it very much and thought it was pretty close to the book, although I haven't read the book in months. Also my mom didn't catch the anti-religious themes in the movie (though they were toned down, but at least not too much. There was still a hint of them there), so I doubt any kid would. Religious zealots were worried over nothing. I'm still hoping that maybe on the dvd there may be some deleted scenes without the changes. I loved all the daemons. I want one. I did a quiz over on the official site to find out what your daemon is. Mine was a moth.
The moth is somehow fitting for me. After all sometimes I see moths flying around me. I wonder if it could be one of my spirit animals...but there I go again. ;) Anyway the daemons are kind of like the idea of spirit/totem animals.
