Earthquake and Record Breaking Heat
There was an earthquake this morning. It happened while I was in the shower and scared the shit out of me; not so much for the earthquake itself, but the realization that there could be aftershocks, but there weren't any. One of the shampoo bottles on the lip of the tub fell down and I saw the shower curtain rail shaking back and forth. It was like two big jolts and the house moved up and down rather than side to side. Luckily none of the shampoo bottles fell from the top of the shower. That would have been a great way to start the morning; to have a shampoo bottle hit me in the head. :P I had guessed that the strength of the earthquake was either a 4 or 5 pointer. I was pretty much right on target. It was a 4.7. Also it hit close to Lake Elsinore. Check out this image

I know we're supposed to be getting the "Big One" any time now too. It's kind of scary. The biggest earthquakes I've been through are 7 pointers, last one being in October 1999. They really do scare the shit out of you. Even the small ones. They come when you don't expect it. Still I'll take earthquakes over hurricanes or tornadoes any day.
We had record breaking heat today, and I really mean record breaking. It's up in the 100s and earlier this afternoon I heard it hit the triple digits here. That's just incredible. For as long as I've been here, I don't think it has ever hit triple digits.
I forgot to mention I finished Broken Sword 2 the other day. It was good, but not quite as good as the first game. I think it was partly because of Nico. They changed the voice actor and she wasn't very good, plus she just wasn't as likeable this time. They've actually changed the voice actor for this character in each game. Why can't they just stick with one? Also the ending left much to be desired. It ended too quick and there was not enough puzzles towards the end. Other than that it was still fun to play. Now I guess since I have nothing left to play (except for maybe going back to Oblivion or Railroad Tycoon 3) I'm going back to playing freeware.
