My mom took us to a place called Bevmo's and she expected me to get my dad some beer for Father's Day. I was like no way am I getting beer. I also felt kind of offended that she would suggest that. They did have some candy there though, so I ended up getting some chocolate covered cherries. It's one of my dad's favorite kind of candies.
Last night my mom called Vanessa's family because she wanted us to go over there, bbq, play some games, and maybe watch a movie. I knew already that I wasn't going over there, so I went to my room and shoved my laundry basket against the door. They'll never take me alive! Then my mom knocked on my door and I moved the laundry basket away. I said "I'm not going, so don't ask." Then she said, "Oh, I was just coming up to tell you I was going to go hang out with Joan for a little while." "We're not going over there yet." "Why is it you don't want to go over there" I said, "I don't know." "I deserve to have a reason." "I just don't know." In a way I don't, but it probably has something to do with not wanting to be around Vanessa because A)She tried to change me into somebody I'm not, and B)She insulted a couple of my friends. I just think that's reason enough to avoid her and I don't want to associate myself with people who are like that.
So, I stayed home, played Morrowind, watched the Discovery Channel and read some. And, you know what? I had a good time.
Ok, I'm thinking I might be dragged out to Hemet today. I might have to help clean out my grandma's place and it's probably going to be full of carcinogens. Ick. Yes, she was a smoker and what led to her eventually dying. Edit: I guess I don't have to go, but I hope we have time to see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
