Thanksgiving is Going to Suck

Nov 20, 2006 16:36

I saw Happy Feet yesterday. It was very cute. :) Also I saw the trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Daniel sure is looking like a man now.

Thanksgiving is going to be chaotic. It's going to be at Grammy's small condo and there will be 15 people there. OMGZ! That's way too many people to fit in such a small area. I don't like being confined in small places with too many people. I won't be able to breathe! :S

We went to Bristol Farms for lunch. I got a cookie. My mom bought tons of potatoes. Enough for 15 people. She is making the potatoes.

I started typing up the 5 paged monster paper this morning. I accomplished about 3 pages, so 2 pages to go. My opinion on it thus far: Sloppy. I pulled out a lot of random facts from my head, and tried to organize them. I also am following few rules about how the paper should be. I deem my grade will be mediocre at best. All I can say is I just want to get it finished. Also I kept flitting back and forth to the internet to get some ideas. Since I'm doing it on the media I wanted to look up some toys and their slogans to see how they can be manipulative. One bizzare one I came across was for the Nintendo DS which was: "Touching is good" O_o Upon further endeavours I came across popular toys from the 90s and it made me think of my childhood. I will list off the ones I remember and what I remember about them

Furby-I had the baby version. It was the most annoying toy ever and I enjoyed torturing it. >:)
Beanie Babies-I still have a bunch of these, and a couple that are worth quite a bit of money.
Gameboy Color-I have a purple one. Pokemon was all I really played on it.
Jurassic Park Dinosaurs-I have a couple of these, including the remote-control T-Rex and the Raptor. The T-Rex is now busted, but the Raptor still hangs out in my room.
Nano Babies-I had one of these, but I didn't use it much
Pogs-Pogs were awesome. My brother and I had a bunch, and they're probably still floating around somewhere
Pokemon-Who wasn't into Pokemon? I remember the very first episode I watched of it, and I still like playing the games every once in a while.
Polly Pocket-I had one of these. I was never really into Polly Pocket though.
SNES-I remember when I got this on my birthday while we were vacationing in Hawaii. I still enjoy playing it from time to time. My favorite game has got to be Mario Kart. :)
Skip-It-Never had one of my own, but I do remember it.
Tamagotchi-I remember when these were all the craze when I was in junior high. I had one, but my creature turned into this ugly duck thing. :(
Treasure Trolls-Yep, I had one of those.

I'm sure there were more, but that's all I have for now.

paper, bristol farms, happy feet, thanksgiving, harry potter and the order of the phoeni, 90s toys
