I shall try to keep this rant to a minimum. Sort of. I would also like to preface this by saying that the catalyst for my tantrum is so mundane it's almost embarassing.
I AM SO FARKIN' SICK OF NOT HAVING MY SHIT! I WANT MY STUFF. I WANT SOME SPACE. I WANT TO LIVE IN MY GODDAMNED HOUSE WITH MY GODDAMNED STUFF! ( Read more... )

The sucky part about wishing ill on said friend is that she deals with more crap on a day to day basis than most. She's one of those people that I love to just HATE! Here's an abbreviated list of schtuff A. does: She's involved with local theatre, homeschools her 4 kids (2 of whom are adopted out of the system,) she's a CASA representative, she's our local API co-leader and she's a very sweet, outgoing individual.
Now, she also is EXAUSTED most of the time (which she, in part, brings on herself.) She's so P.C. it's annoying as hell. And she likes to try to be consoling which I ususally end up taking more along the lines of condesending since it comes from such a PERFECT source. She's the one friend I have that I can't commiserate with regarding my failings as a parent because she's so fucking perfect, she doesn't fail. Trust me, I've long since discovered peoples "masks to the world" and have spent the last 3 years trying to see around hers. Either she wears it really freakin' well or she just is that good. She definately has her faults but not apparently in the realm of parenting.

Oh--she's one of Those. *shudders*

Nobody is That Good. *g*

A--it's impossible because we're all human and nobody is perfect.

B--in fifteen or twenty years, at least one of her children will say/do something that will come back to bite her on the ass. It's impossible to please everyone else because you think you have to and it turns out it's because you're not happy with yourself. (It's called being the yes person. Either volunteering or getting stuck with something that nobody else wants to do. Why? Because you believe that there will be earthshattering consequences if you don't go along with it. Bullfucking shit, I say. *g*)

C--it's the Monkey Complex. People think they HAVE to take on all these extra monkeys (responsibilities) and pretty soon, they've got so many jumping around, that they can't control them all and soon, some are sadly neglected and it's usually the ones that are the most in need who wind up neglected. Give some of the monkeys back! It certainly uncomplicates one's life and one can do what one needs to do in order to take care of one's self and one's family.

D--I know--shut up. LOL
