Computer question.

Suppose that someone were to obtain the Corporate version of Windows XP through completely legal means.

Like they bought it or Bill just decided to give them a copy because he was having a good day.

I know that it has a secondary security feature which requires you to 'activate' it online. And I am nearly positive that the Corporate version of this software gets around this inefficiency handily.

What I don't know is whether or not it still requires a Serial number if I were to make a copy of the disc to boot with. This feature can be removed (or so i hear) from Windows 2000... but I have not ever used XP.

2 cool points to the person with the answer.
