Help, please!
So there I was, all set to attend the North American Discworld Convention and meet Terry Pratchett and cool Discworld fans...
...and then I got a message from the friend whose place I was going to crash at. She's lost her job and has moved back to Minneapolis/St. Paul. So, Internet, I turn to you:
Do you know anyone who is going to the convention and would be willing to have someone sleep on the floor of their hotel room in exchange for paying part of the bill? Or someone who lives in Madison and would be willing to let a very trustworthy young woman sleep on the couch for a few days in July? I'd be spending every waking hour at the con; they'd barely know I was there, promise.
I'ma post this on Couchsurfing too, but I trust fannish people more, so if you can help in any way (signal-boosting is love, hint hint), that would be my first choice.
