Have you read/watched Stardust? It centers on a fantasy romance. I'm not sure if it's quite what you're looking for, but I love both the graphic novel and the movie (which is an adaptation of the comic, so read that one first! though I didn't). They do have different tones, with the movie having more comedy (enjoyable comedy) and being an adventure with warm characters, while the comic is a little more distant. I've just rewatched the movie.

If you'd like to know why I've showed up, it's because I was searching for Romeo x Juliet posts and entries at the end of last year, and found your post on it. This week I happened to remember it and came by to read your other posts.

I haven't, I'm afraid. Do you mean the Gaiman novel? I'll probably give it a try, although my first and thus far only attempt at Gaiman in prose stalled halfway in.

I'm always happy when people talk to me and there aren't a lot of others around who care about Romeo x Juliet. So... welcome, I guess?

Yes, the Gaiman novel. It's hard to think of fantasy romance I like, but I've just remembered the Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier and her book the The Dark Mirror. Though I was sixteen when I read most of those, and eighteen when I read The Dark Mirror.

I couldn't find many people who still cared about that series either, except for someone who made some icons last year and posted about it in the community, and someone who still posts her old short fic to Fanfiction.net sometimes.
