Minus One Day

Jun 01, 2024 03:03

I didn't get up early this morning. I kept on hitting snooze. Slept at lunch too. Apparently I'm very tired.

I needed an extra container of potting soil to repot my plants tonight. So I submitted a Walmart order and got enough food and soda to make a large enough order that I won't get charged for a small order. So I won't need to go to the store right away when I get back. I probably will order more cat food right before I get back.

I got one second everyday installed and will try to remember it because what would be cooler than doing it in Italy?

Got the front lawn mowed and repotted my plants. However, I ordered three large pots and got one. (Amazon will now ship the other two.) Something, probably the rabbit that lives here, ate some of my plants. I want to replace them, but I’ll have to figure out how to keep them bunny-safe. Maybe put them on the porch. Or hanging planters?

I’m having dinner now and then will run get one of those obnoxious mechanical alarm clocks. I have one but it’s falling apart. I want to make sure that I get up to catch the bus to O’Hare! Back with the clock.

Mimi wants food. She’s going to have a tough time getting fed only two times a day when the pet sitter is here. No, she wants pets. No, she's not sure what she wants except to complain :)

The little wallet that I bought is perfect for the trip. I don't need the extra credit card case that I bought. It's in my backpack with the passport. And yes, I have my Global Entry card. (TSA Precheck! Yay!) Oh bother. I was supposed to enter my Global Entry number on my reservation to get TSA Precheck. I had entered the number, but got an error. I'll have to get it fixed at the airport. I tried changing it through chat, but there's a two-hour wait time. No.

It is freaking humid, and I keep slowing down to cool off.

I'm ready to sweep and mop the floors, so I'm going to post. I won't get a lot of sleep, but that's usual for me before a flight. Catch you on the other side!
