A Perk of Living in Champaign-Urbana

Mimi is insisting on staying upstairs, although I told her to come downstairs where it’s cool. She likes the wicker chairs upstairs. Cats!

I want to give myself a manicure and pedicure before I go to Italy and found a color that I like.

I'm tired.

I ordered a jet lag kit. I remember being very jet lagged in Europe the last time that I went.

I’m lying down for my lunchtime nap, and Zara has arrived for snuggles. It’s funny how less annoyed I get at Zara than Mimi because Zara snuggles next to me instead of in front of my work computer.

Two out of three FSA Store orders are on their way. That was fast.

Dust closed a highway near Lincoln.

Zonked out after work. Got the garbage out.

It’s supposed to be cooler tomorrow. I’m cooling off now, and Mimi is complaining because she wants to be fed. She’s singing the song of her people.

The Krannert Center on campus is having a lot of concerts this fall and winter that I’m interested in, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Renee Fleming, and a Christmas concert. I need to keep an eye on their ticket sales. I’m excited! That would be an advantage of retiring here, concerts nearby. (I can see getting in the trap of loving the house too much, which happened to my mom.)

I need a bulletin board to post concerts that I'm interested in.

I need a plan to get the place in order before leaving for Italy.
