Dragged myself out of bed this morning. I don't know why I'm so tired.

Mimi is protesting my absence by peeing all over the place. The pet sitter asked for puppy pads, which I ordered to be delivered to the house.

My doctor told me to drink more water. I was a little jolted by an abnormal kidney reading, so I'm trying to do so.

About 10 years ago (guessing - not sure), I had an abnormal kidney reading (my doctor called it a "sluggish kidney), and she suggested I see a nephrologist to have it checked out. We were headed to Hilton Head for the winter on the day I received those results, so I figured I would see a doctor there. However, at that time, I had to travel to Savannah to see one since there was no one local. I'm not proud of this, but I buried my head in the sand and never saw a doctor. But - I raised my daily water intake by a lot, hoping that would help. It did. A year later, I was tested again, and my kidney function was "normal" and has been ever since.

I try to drink 60 fluid oz. of water daily (3 Yeti mugs!). I do not always reach that amount; it's easy to forget! But I work toward it.
