End of Year Meme. Why Not.
1. What did you do in 2023 that you'd never done before?
Clean out my mom's house when she passed away.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No not really. I tend to make New Year's resolutions and then forget about them. I'll try to do better this year. (This was a difficult year.) Oh, I did lose 35 pounds.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My organizer had her baby, which was a little girl.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Mom.
5. What countries did you visit?
None--my trips were in the US.
6. What would you like to have in 2024 that you lacked in 2023?
A stable place to live.
7. What date from 2023 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The date my Mom died.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going through my mom's stuff and buying the house in Urbana.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Getting the wrong movers of my stuff from the rental.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got the world's nastiest cold twice around the time that my mom died. Otherwise, no.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Books and clothes.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My life coach, who kept me sane.

Mom's "friend" Deanna and my weight loss coach. Both tried to order me around.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Mom's house, my new house, and retail therapy :)

Buying the new house

I didn't listen to music much. Maybe the Robert Shaw Christmas album.

I didn't watch TV except for turning CNN on occasionally. I'm looking forward to getting back to The Crown.

Hate is too strong a word, but I dislike Deanna and my weight loss coach.

Probably the Smothers Brothers book.

None

Lots of clothes and books. Trips. And the house!

Peace and quiet. Well, I sort of did.

I didn't see any films this year, alas.

Traveled back from Hawaii. 61.

My mom not dying.

For sort of dress up, tweed blazers. Otherwise, jeans and hoodies.

My life coach.

I can't think of anybody.

Abortion and Donald Trump

My mom
