Buying a Sprinkler in the Rain

Italian went well. We talked a lot about my mom's house. I'm at the point in Italian where I understand it better than speak it. (When my teacher speaks Italian, I sometimes answer in English, which is not what I'm supposed to do, but we are having real conversations. He knows more about my life than most people, with the exception of my therapist and LJ/DW peeps.) I also can translate easier than speaking.

Ugh. My phone lost its connection, so my text to Meijer for my pickup didn't go through, but the phone said that it did. Eventually we got it all straightened out, but I spent a long time sitting there pondering the irony of buying a sprinkler in the rain. Then I picked up a prescription at Walgreens. Walgreens had a Pride display that included Pride nail polish (?) and Pride key chains in the shape of a rainbow-colored Mickey Mouse head. I decided that I could pass on that.

Speaking of rain though, it's been a light rain, which I'm not happy about. The plants need a good soaking. It rained a bit harder later in the day.

For some reason, I couldn't nap. My mind kept churning.

I've been reading Elliot Page's memoir. It's quite good and interesting. I have to admit that I felt disappointed when he said that he was trans because I liked her as a cool lesbian. But he really went through hell.

I'm thinking of going to sleep soon after I do the dishes and take care of the cats. I need to start shifting stuff in the basement tomorrow because the controls for the sprinklers are blocked, and I want to get them fixed.

Oh wait, I wanted to post a list of my mom's frozen food for offer on Buy Nothing. Ken and Deanna want to take their freezer back, so I need to get stuff out of it.
