Ugh. It's been 24 hours, and the mechanics are still diagnosing my car. At least, I have my mom's car to drive. They finally got back to me. The car needs a new suspension and new tires and some odds and ends. (I believe them because of the way that it's been driving.) I also ordered a new key fob because my old one fell out in the rain and got

We were looking at buying a Kia to replace our Honda but the repairs are endless - they are much less reliable than a Honda. so we passed on the kia. ahm jes sayin

This is only the second time that I've had any trouble with the car, and it's 10 years old. But yes, Hondas are more reliable. But the Kia has features that I like better than the Honda.

A few days ago, my mom decided to de-frost her freezer and I helped her taking out suff and keeping it in my freezer in the meantime. We happened on a half full container of ice cream mom had bought for dessert at last bew years eve, we ate it with hot strawberry sauce. That was more or less the last meal my dad ate with gusto, sitting upright. We sat down and enjoyed the cold sweet, feeling quite maudlin...

I have always enjoyed flying. My sister and one of my brothers both worked for airlines, and my sister now works for the FAA, so I've heard every horror story there is. But for reasons that make no sense, I am not afraid of flying.

It's funny what will trigger grief. I was getting something out of the refrigerator, and I saw my mom's almost empty bottle of orange juice, and I realized that she drank it, and felt a pang.
