A Little Progress

I forgot to mention yesterday that Mom thought that she went to Chicago for her blood transfusion. I said, "No, the hospital is in Royal Oak," and she was kind of like "Whatever." So she's still confused.

I told her that there was some sort of leak in the bathroom, and she complained that fixing it will cost money. I said that if there's a leak, I can't fix it. But I need to clean the bathroom before anything else can happen.

Great, my stomach is upset again (it was yesterday too), which is probably stress.

Today I was supposed to get on the train to California. Oh well.

Oh yikes. I told Mom that there was a leak in the bathroom near the sink. She called me multiple times last night thinking that the leak was coming from the ceiling and it might cave in. I looked, and it didn't look like it was coming from the ceiling. She then said that the sink has leaked for a long time and that there's a bucket. Yep, there is a bucket and it was full. Whew.

It's going to take forever to get this place in the shape that it should be.

I got the kitchen table more cleared off. There still are some piles, but stuff is gathered together. And there now is room to eat, yay! And I found the paperwork for her Medical Guardian alert button, so I need to fill it out. I look around here and get so discouraged though.

Went to Home Depot and bought plastic containers, a padlock, and a plastic snake to clean out the sink. Mom called me back and said that she needed envelopes, so I'll stop at Target too (done).

I did get Mom to sign the form. She later said that I should go if I had stuff to do (and I do), but she asked me if I was coming back tomorrow. I said that I wasn't sure, and she got upset. I get it; she's bored and lonely, but I don't know when I can get things done.

I finally got the pants to my cleaning sweats. The bathroom is too gross to clean in good clothes.

Lay down and slept through until 3 AM local time. I'm going to go back to sleep.

mom, travel, sick
