Mixing German and Italian

CNN is predicting that gas prices will go down a little in a week, so I'm going to skip my errands in Springfield today. I didn't realize that gas was up to $4.50 a gallon! Plus I was up late doing German homework. I have plenty of other things to do.

I'm looking at used Nissan Leafs as far as cars go, but they don't seem practical for driving to my mom's house. No, I'm not going to buy a new car right now! Plus I don't have a place to plug one in. My dad says that it's too early to get an electric car, plus it might not be better for the environment because coal plants are creating electricity. Now I'm wondering about a hybrid? Oh, the Hyundai IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid sounds interesting.

Best laid plans: My Italian teacher wanted me to have the lesson an hour early, so the lesson was back to back with German. Oh, never again. I managed to mix up German and Italian, which is quite a feat. But I got into the swing of Italian as the lesson progressed. I scheduled my next German lesson on Saturday night.

I need more pronunciation practice in German, so I started using Pimsleur. I also need to make more flashcards.

Had a nice long nap, but now I'm groggy. I need to return library books and get dots at Walmart. But I really want to stay home tonight.

I'm suffering from kitchen table overload. I have Italian and German grammar books there because I study there. And index cards for flashcards. And half-empty bottles of soda. And I dump the mail there. My task for tonight is to clear the basket on my cube organizer, which used to be for mail, but I stopped using it when it filled up. And I need a better spot for the grammar books (done).

Got the garbage out. Got the mail. I received my small plastic stool to sit on while I'm organizing.

I haven't finished emptying the mail basket, but made progress. I bought two more magazine holders because when I go through magazines, I rip out articles that I'd like to read and need a place to put them. I think that I'll take my decluttering picture and go make German flashcards (done).
