Puttering Day

I overslept and figured out that Italian is at 11 now, so I skipped breakfast. The cats, of course, got their food because they rule. Well, my teacher isn't there, so I guess I got it wrong. He said that it's at 1. The extra sleep helped, anyway.

I read an article about the shortage of therapists right now. I found an online therapist in Better Help who sounds good, but I'm not sure if I can afford it. I need to keep working on my budget and see if I can squeeze out the money.

I also looked into professional organizers, but $125 an hour! Eeek! (But that would get me going.)

I also read an interesting article about why gas prices are high in the US.
I studied Italian, given that I had the time. Italian went well. We wound up comparing health insurance in Italy and the US. My teacher thinks that it's strange that we don't have single-payer insurance. Me too. He encouraged me to go study in Italy when I retire. We have been reading a story all in the conditional tense. The narrator was talking about a guy she was into, and it turned out to be her professor! Strange story.

Overslept my nap. Zara came in to tell me she's hungry. Now both cats are staring at me. Okay, okay. Kitty drama when we left my bedroom because they tried to leave at the same time. They were hissing and batting at each other.

William Hurt died. Bummer. Too young.

It's gotten late, so I've decided to stay home and go to the grocery store on Monday. I feel like puttering around. Got the garbage out. Zara is no longer into the printer box, but I decided it would be a good box for kitchen stuff, so I'll stash it in storage. I plan to work on more boxes and half-empty bottles of soda and such tonight, but my neighbors go to bed early, so I'll run the extra garbage out in the morning.

Practiced piano. I have a book of short, simplified excerpts from classical pieces, so I worked on an excerpt from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, which I love. I think that it's more haunting in clarinet though. (I tried learning clarinet in grade school, but I really wanted to learn flute, so it didn't last long.)

Put a cat litter box to soak overnight. Finished sorting through a box. My back hurt, so I went to create more German flashcards for numbers. I want to review my Italian numbers, but I want to be done with German numbers first. I also found Web sites with how to tell time in German and days of the week in German. Useful!

Anyway, it's gotten late, so I need to do my nighttime chores and get to sleep. Morning will come too quickly with the time change.
