No Water. Just Ice.

Jan 19, 2020 00:12

The ice has melted. Awesome. However, the temperature is supposed to drop drastically (high of 14 F with lows in the single digits on Sunday), and the rain that fell yesterday and today might turn to ice. It's a good weekend to hibernate, although I have a dentist's appointment on Monday.

The cats have been fed, and peace reigned throughout the land.

A book that I ordered about living in Italy has been delivered to my mailbox. Maybe I'll go get it in my grungy sweats after dark.

It's a gloomy and dark day. A good day for a nap. I had a nice nap with the girls.

I'm trying to figure out what to do now. Laundry. I started the laundry. The bedroom litter box needs scrubbing. I'll need to do that fast because the girls are camped out there. And clean the bathroom. And work on organizing the bedroom. Oh, and make tuna casserole.

I never heard back from Ed about the time for the Skype call. Not sure what to do. I guess that I'll message him through the LinkedIn instant message thing.

They weren't kidding about the cold. I went to get my mail, and there was lots of ice, and the wind was brutal. Mimi is trying to warm me up. Well, she's trying to warm herself up.

Talked to Mom. She sounds a lot better. We talked about the Prince-Harry-and-Meghan saga and about Italy.
It is cold in here. I went and got a fuzzy zip-up jacket to put over my sweats. I'm looking forward to getting under warm blankets.
Well, lovely. I have no water. I called the emergency number, and they said that they'd contact maintenance. I suspect that they won't fix it tonight, so I'm going to contact Ed and tell him that I can't talk to him tomorrow. It would have to be a day in which I didn't take a shower. x-posted from Dreamwidth
