I found a pair of inexpensive wide-width sneakers at Walmart.com. People did say they were kind of cheaply made, but if I wear them only to the gym, it doesn't matter. I might wait until next month to get them though. Actually, I found another pair of sneakers that I have that fit. I'm good.
It's not raining yet, but it's supposed to start right around the time that I'd be ready to run. Oh well.
I might wind up regretting this, but I bought a refurbished Garmin Vivosport from Amazon. Need to get serious about getting moving and get my cholesterol down. I did get a warranty on it because I have lousy luck with fitness trackers.
I'm thinking that my ultimate goal is a "sprint" triathon, but I have a long, long way to go to get there.
A friend on Facebook posted the infamous
WKRP Turkey Drop, so I watched it again. Twice. Enjoy.
I did my Week 1 Day 1 walk/run. Far out! It wasn't so bad. The Runkeeper app worked well. The shoes were comfortable too. And it didn't rain. Hey, now I'm a runner!
I ran out to get soda at Dollar Tree. While I was out, I realized that I was starving, so I went to Culver's and had a mushroom-and-swiss burger. Then I got gas.
Fed the girls. Now my plan is to set up and submit my shopping list for pickup at Walmart tomorrow. Then I think that I'll watch an episode of The Crown and go to bed.
Here comes the rain....
