So, it's about that time...
Time for a real update.
I don't really write much in here anymore...or anywhere really. Not since school got out. For those of you who don't already know surgery went well and I am now the proud owner of three screws in my right foot. Though the procedure lasted twice as long as expected (5.5hrs instead of 2.5) the doctor was very pleased with the outcome and I know get to cruise around in a wheelchair for the next 6 weeks (but at least it's a nice one).
It's been nice to be home for the last week, but the novelty is starting to rapidly wear off. My father is trying to make up for lost time and is being quite over protective of me. Though I know he means well I cannot wait to get back to Maine next weekend and have some level of independence.
...I've watched more tv in the last week than I have in the last year...
Lately I feel like life has been going on without me. Mainly because my life really isn't in NH anymore. Granted, I still have friends in the area but when I see them it just isn't the same. It's a bit easier with those that went to college, but there's still a divide...an awkwardness..because I think (a lot of times) it's not that there's nothing to say, but that there's so much you don't know where to start. But at the same time...the experiences are different which makes it hard.
I do miss my friends from HS though. It's just that our lives have gone off in so many different directions.
Not much else is new though...my parents are redoing the kitchen (another area of stress) and my mother's health isn't any better so it's driving her crazy that she can't do as much as she would like.
My brother has a new girlfriend. Much nicer (and better for him) than the last. When he came to visit me in the hospital, we got to talking about our respective exs and it was amazing how similar the relationships where in many ways.

Anyway, Leash and Jennell are supposed to be coming to visit me today and I can't wait to see them!
I'll try to be better at updating this from now on.
