i'm listening to talk radio
i have been religiously for the past couple of days
they're discussing the miners in west virginia
"do they say it's god's will because they have to???
or is it because that's what they believe?"
that was the host's question.
a brilliant fucking question
and a woman calls in,
affirming christian faith
and he asked her the question:
"how do you know there is a god?"
she replies"
"how can you look at the earth and say there's not?"
that was her only way of supporting it.
i find that foolish.
then she added:
"you're a fool if you don't see that"
how conveniant!
so now, i'm foolish for thinking
it might be a good idea to have some scientific proof behind it.
now, you can call me cold hearted
but i honestly believe
they say its God's will because they have to.
they have nothing else.
they're not rich.
they can't compensate their life with anything but God
so they have to say its God's will
or they have nothing.
you don't want to take away
the only thing that they have left
but when you just think about it
really all you have to say is that
"its just the way the world works."
it sucks that it happened to them
but that's just what happens
the cycle of life.
i wanted to discuss this.
